Ichiro or Jones, neither would shock me. I expected Crisp to be better than he has.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

    Re: Clemens To Yanks...

Watchin Jones since the first game of the 95 (i think) World Series, here is my opinion on him. He is a 5 tool player, who doesn't use his speed at all on offense. He takes a 450 foot cut every atbat, has as much natural ability in center as anyone has had since the days of mays and mantle. He has no desire to be a "complete" player like Griffey was in the 90s. Jones could easily be a 40-40 guy every year, but until he learns some discipline at the plate (which prob wont happen) he will never reach his full potential--he could potentially put up Pujols or ARod numbers if he would cut down on his swing a bit.

Ichiro would be PERFECT at the top of that lineup. You have him and Youklis, gettin on base then Papi, Manny, and Drew to bring them in. The first 5 guys in the lineup would avg scoring 5 runs a game.

I would move Ichiro to center. Without a doubt one of the fastest guys in the league, and a cannon for an arm. Maybe thas why Theo signed Dice K and Okay? Boston would have to change its name to Toyoko West.

What a nightmare it would be if Jones or Ichio was wearing pinestripes next season.

I will completely agree with your assessment of Andruw. his 450 ft swing has intensified to 550 this year because he wants to hit 60+ HR and get a Manny type contract. Defensively Andruw has been as good as it gets. The attempts to put him in the leadoff slot failed miserably because he wouldn't take a pitch, or worry about his OBP. He loves the long ball, and thats about it. He had the speed to steal a lot, but is probably a step slower now than he was. He could still be a 30-30 player today if he worked on reading pitchers to get better leads/jumps.

Screw it all- in honor of PJG (grandad) I'm joining the Yankee ranks. Maybe not real rabid...but close enough for horseshoes, hand grenades and A-bombs.

    I love it...

You all are haters, don't hate because they have the money to spend. The sport is all about winning and you do what it takes at all coast! As for some of you to say they don't have a chance to win the WS thats crazy!!! Soon as their pitching becomes healthy they'll be the team to beat

I had another sentence but I can't write without trying to circumvent the profanity filter.
